The Six Winter Olympic Events Where the U.S. Has Never Won Gold

On Monday night, Meryl Davis and Charlie White were the first U.S. ice dancing team EVER to win gold.  That leaves just six events in the Winter Olympics where the U.S. has never won a gold medal . . .

1.  Figure skating pairs.

2.  Curling.

3.  Biathlon.

4.  Cross-country skiing.

5.  Ski jumping.

6.  Luge.

There are also six Summer Olympics events where the U.S. has never won a medal at all:  Field hockey, table tennis, modern pentathlon, rhythmic gymnastics, team handball, and badminton.
